Liv Webster ’21 Named All-State in Soccer

Liv Webster All-State

Olivia (Liv) Webster ’21 was one of just over a dozen independent school student-athletes to receive the All-State Award honor by the Connecticut Girls Soccer Coaches Association. Each season, upwards of 22 girls are honored with this award.

This unprecedented fall season, due to the coronavirus that limited the team to only intramural play, Liv was named one of the team’s captains and continued to perform at the highest level in practice. With no statistics in the books, the dominant play that she portrayed allowed her team to continue to elevate their training and become a quicker, more skilled and overall stronger program that is prepared for fall 2021.

Head Varsity Coach Mike Smith remarks, “Liv, a two-year member of the team, is so deserving of this award. This is a great way to acknowledge her efforts this season. Liv was a high contender for this award in the 2019 season, having started every game with the exception of one due to injury. She had a total of 26 goals and 17 assists.”

The Coaches Committee votes on the All-State selections each season, and Walker’s is proud to have Liv represent the Wildcats. She follows a list of previous selections, including Veronica Garcia, class of 2017.
