Madison Olvert ’21 Places Second in The 2020 Hamel Foundation National Horse Show 3’3” Equitation Championship

Madison “Maddie” Olvert ’21 had an impressive finish as Reserve Champion this past weekend at The 2020 Hamel Foundation National Horse Show. Maddie rode her own horse Booker, whose show name is Green Book, and the two of them worked hard in the ring to keep pace and do their best. This was Maddie’s first time at the National Horse Show. “It has been an amazing experience,” said Maddie. “It is a great facility and the people have been wonderful here at the show.”

Maddie was full of emotion as she thought about this being her last time in the ring as a junior. She says this sport is full of highs and lows and is thankful to have ended the weekend on such a high note. Maddie is grateful that she has such a great support system from her parents and sisters.

After the show Maddie glowed as she said, “This is a dream come true and this will always be one of my favorite horse show memories. Thank you to all of my trainers and The Ethel Walker School for giving me the opportunity to have access to my wonderful trainers. I just want to thank Booker for letting me do what I love.”

Congratulations Maddie!
