Congratulations to Marlo Meador ’25, who has capped off an extraordinary lacrosse career at Walker’s with one of the highest honors given to high school lacrosse players nationally: USA Lacrosse All-Academic All-American. This prestigious award is given to student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom.
As the starting goalie for the last four years and a team captain for two, Marlo has anchored Walker’s lacrosse program throughout outstanding play and leadership. Earning Defensive MVP, All-NEPSAC, and All-Founders League honors this season, her determination made her a force in the net and a steady presence for her teammates.
Beyond the turf, Marlo’s academic excellence and strong character make her a model of what it means to be a true student-athlete. She will continue her lacrosse career next year at Amherst College, competing at the NCAA Division III level while pursuing her academic passions.
Walker’s Head Coach Jill Mountford says, “Marlo is departing from the Walker’s lacrosse program having left a lasting standard of excellence for future Walker’s players to embody. She is a generational student-athlete who is a model student in the classroom and on the field.”
We are incredibly proud of Marlo’s success and cannot wait to see her succeed beyond the Walker’s campus.
