Ethel Walker SchoolWalker’s campus packed the Ferguson Theatre both Thursday, May 18 and Friday, May 19 for the 2023 Spring Musical. The audience and performers worked symbiotically to produce a lively event. The show was led by several first and second-year students, as well as cast members from Simsbury High School and a pair of faculty dogs. The show was edgy and comedic with a message that speaks to overcoming stereotypes by believing in oneself and maintaining a firm set of values.
The production was headed by Director of Theater Shannen Hofheimer, the musical ensemble was orchestrated by Music Department Chair Laurie MacAlpine, and choreographed by Director of Dance Cheri Soule. Student cast and crew produced an impressive technical performance all in under five weeks. This was a terrific send-off for the school during the hum of the end-of-the-year festivities.
