Walker’s Students Receive Awards in Harvard Global Writing Contest

For the second year in a row, Walker’s was selected to participate in the Harvard University Alumni for Global Women’s Empowerment annual essay competition. Walker’s students wrote essays answering the following question: What is the greatest challenge facing women and girls in your country today?

This year’s top prize winner was Hazel Wang ’19, and three honorable mentions were awarded to Sabrina Li ’19, Clare Tomlinson ’20 and Riley Sheldon ’20.

In previous years, schools in other countries including Turkey and Pakistan have competed in this annual contest.
