Walker’s 2017 field hockey co-captains Keeley Duran ’18 and Brianna Duba ’19 faced off in a two-day double-overtime duel.

On a stormy September 8, Hamilton College Continentals Captain Duran ’18 and RPI Captain Duba ’19 only met at the scorer’s table this time, as they were wearing opposing uniforms. The two Walker’s graduates wished each other good luck and an intense duel began.

Due to a severe thunderstorm, Wednesday’s game was suspended with three seconds left in the first quarter. The Continentals made the trip to Troy again on Thursday for the second night in a row to finish what they started.

Hamilton pulled out the win with 4:03 remaining in the second overtime on a corner set up by Duran ’18. Duba ’19 recorded the lone goal for the Engineers.

Duba is a civil engineer major at RPI and Duran is a double major in world politics and geoscience at Hamilton College.
