Walker’s earned a great home win over Founders League opponent Kingswood-Oxford on Wednesday afternoon. Walker’s struggled defensively in the first half, giving up 43 first half points and trailing by 12 at the break. However, the team buckled down as a unit in the second half, allowing only 13 points and slowly taking control of the game. Walker’s grabbed their first lead with 3 minutes left, and went 10-10 down the stretch from the free throw line to earn the victory. Walker’s was led by Sarah Shaw ’23 and Amber Furtado ’25, and also received huge contributions from Ellie Roussell ’25, Cady Hill ’24 and Allison Hayes ’25.
