Walker’s Faculty on Connecticut Public Radio

What can the things we leave behind tell us about who we are? Humanities Faculty member and Archivist Kim Harris-Thacker P’24, ’27 recently explored that question on Connecticut Public Radio’s Where We Live with host Cat Shen.

During the conversation, Kim shared how she introduces students at The Ethel Walker School to archaeology through hands-on exploration of the school’s own history. By examining artifacts and uncovering stories from Walker’s past, students gain a deeper understanding of the people, traditions, and experiences that have shaped their school community.

Through her work as both an educator and archivist, Kim helps students see history as something they can actively investigate, bringing the stories of Walker’s past to life in new and meaningful ways.
