The Cross Country team opened their racing season this past Sunday with the “Run back to School” 5k—a local race put on by and to raise funds for the Latimer Lane Elementary School in Simsbury, CT. Weather conditions were cold and wet as steady rains drenched the runners from warmup to cool down; however, the team ran through it and put together a great first race.
Next week, the team will head to Cheshire Academy to race in the 19th annual O’Connell Invitational.
