Game Summary

A tough loss for the Ethel Walker Wildcats, who fought to the very last whistle. The first quarter got off to a slow start with Addison B. ‘30 putting up half of Walker’s points. Entering the second quarter, the score was Choate 10 – Walker’s 8, but Walker’s was already in foul trouble. Choate increased their lead to 5 by half-time. Both teams were relentless on defense – Walker’s holding Choate to a mere 4 points in the third quarter, and Choate holding Walker’s to a measly 3 points. With 8 minutes left to play, the score was Choate 21 – Walker’s 15. We were feeling the pressure. But it was nothing we couldn’t handle as evidenced by back-to-back 3-pointers from Ayden Riendeau ‘26 and Violet Tran ‘26. To decrease Choate’s lead to only 3, Addison B. ‘30 hit both her foul shots. Despite officiating that had a major impact on the game’s flow and shots not falling as much as we would have liked, Walker’s JV Basketball stayed in the game until the very end. However, the scoreboard was not in our favor. The final score was Choate 29 – Walker’s 23. We look forward to regaining momentum in our game this coming Wednesday against Wilbraham & Monson Academy.
