From tip to the final buzzer, Walker’s dictated the pace of the game. The team executed particularly well on defense, forcing Frederick Gunn turnovers several times throughout the game. Walker’s totaled 20 steals, 34 rebounds, and 3 blocks during the game, with both post players and guards contributing to the defensive effort; the team held the Highlanders to only 8 points in the first half. In the second half, Walker’s continued to shine on defense, building their lead due to run-out layups off of turnovers and deflections. Ellie Brothers ’22notched a double-double (points and rebounds) in the game. The team looks to add another win against Westminster next week.
