vs. American School for the Deaf

Walker’s JV Volleyball had a fantastic first victory against the American School for the Deaf, with great performances from players both new and returning. The team won in three sets and everyone had a chance to see some time on the court, though the players on the sidelines were just as enthusiastic about cheering for and supporting their teammates.

Small but mighty newcomer Ashley F ‘29 had a fantastic first game, with great plays from both the front row and back. Returner Lana Jones ‘27 made sure that every ball was returned with some strong passing in the back row. Leisel Thacker ’27 had an impressive tip in the second set that brought the team closer to victory. With such strong talent and a lively, passionate group of girls, we look forward to a great season to come!
