vs. Indian Mountain School

Game Summary

=Middle school basketball traveled to Indian Mountain School and found an athletic and well-organized home team waiting for us. We were slow to start in the first quarter and realized quickly that the home team was playing with a level of aggression and intensity we hadn’t yet encountered this season. We did well to regroup after the first quarter and put some points on the board in the second (Ella L. ‘30). During our half-time team talk, some of the home team fans were playing on the game court and shattered the backboard. We returned to a puzzled pair of referees and embarrassed duo of home-team coaches who suggested that we play the third quarter half-court and abandon the fourth. We agreed, as our team was fighting hard but not quite keeping up on the scoreboard. The third quarter was more tightly contested than the first two and the game finished 2-35.
