We are thrilled to invite you to join us for the third edition of our year-long speaker series titled Understanding the Whole Child: A Walker’s Parent Education Series. Inspired by our School values, and anchored by the community of experts assembled at the School, we developed the series in an effort to equip Walker’s families with knowledge and tools to best support their students throughout their Walker’s journey. Each session will include both a presentation and an opportunity for questions and answers.
The next session will be devoted to the science of learning and memory. In this session, families will gain a deeper understanding of how cognitive scientists help us understand the teenage brain and how we can help our students to learn more effectively during this critical period of development — and also why forgetting can be beneficial to learning.
