Game Summary

Walker’s traveled to Loomis Chaffee on Wednesday afternoon and knocked off the defending Class A champions 62-51 in a well-played game. Walker’s didn’t play the neatest of first halves, but used a late 8-0 run to cut into an early Loomis lead, cutting the deficit to just 3 points at the break. The third and fourth quarters saw solid defense and a more consistent offensive attack from Walker’s, as the Wildcats overtook their hosts and slowly extended the lead. Late in the game, Walker’s showed poise and calm in facing pressure from Loomis, making their free throws down the stretch to earn the 11-point win. Walker’s moves to 4-0 on the season with the win and will travel to King School in Stamford on Saturday afternoon.
