Game Summary

We had a strong start to the match with both Kelsey Tejada ’20 and Liz Helmin ’18 winning their matches. Kelsey played very smoothly and with a lot of confidence throughout the match, which really benefited her. Liz had a good start to her match but her opponent came back after the first game to be 1-1 in game, but Liz played really smart and was able to win 3-1.

Caroline Smith ’18 on court 1 had an amazing battle against the number 3 player and even though she lost the match 3-2, she absolutely played her best squash and gave it her all and I am very excited to see how she adjusts her game this Saturday when we play Kent again.
Next, we had Maisie Smith ’18 who had a great match and was able to win easily in 3 games.
Both Brianna Duba ’18 and Ku Paw ’22 were competing at the same time, and both reached 5 games. Unfortunately, Brianna lost her match, but played her best and has a lot to learn from for Saturday. Ku, on the other hand, was able to pull through and win the last game after four intense games. Lastly, Jocelyn played a very experienced opponent who is originally from Egypt and lost 3-0.
Overall, it was a great match and we are very excited to work on what we learned from today’s match and looking forward to play against Kent again on Saturday.
