vs. Miss Porter's School

On Wednesday, January 29, Walker’s travelled to Farmington to take on Miss Porter’s (Division II) and Westover (Division III) schools in a triple dual. In the all-girls contest, Walker’s recorded a dozen best times, several New England Championship qualifying cuts, and a new school record by Daphne P. ’21 in the 200 freestyle.
To start the meet, Sophia B. ‘21 recorded a personal best in the 200 freestyle by five seconds alongside classmate Daphne P. who took seconds off of the previous record, set in February of 2018. Charlotte F. ’25 competed in the 200IM for the first time in her career, alongside teammate Natalie S. ’23 who shredded over two seconds off of her season best.
In the 50 freestyle, Molly T. ’24 again recorded a best time. First-year member Lucia M. ’25 swam the 100 fly and recorded a top 10 time at Walker’s. Allison W. ’22 took three seconds off of her best time! Ana H. took a second off her 100 freestyle and Sophie L. recorded a PR as well. Liyan D. ’23 raced the 100 backstroke for her first time and classmate Katherine T. put up an impressive race, qualifying for New England’s next to a strong race by captain Jane L. ’20.
Walker’s travels down to race two very talented teams in Hopkins and Sacred Heart on Saturday, February 1st at 1pm.
