Ethel Walker fell to the Williston Northampton School in three sets on Saturday, November 2nd (15-25, 15-25, 20-25). In the first set, Walker’s started off strong with a serving run from setter Violet Tran ‘26 and strong defensive blocks from Amber Furtado ‘25 and Yihan Chen ‘27. Outside hitter Lily Seto ‘26 also scored several kills. In the second set, Walker’s struggled defensively against Williston Northampton’s middle hitter, but came back ready to compete in the third set. Senior DS Naiya Sabbagh ‘25 had a serving run that included five aces and put Walker’s ahead, but Williston came back after a tough serve-receive. Overall, Walker’s played well and was flexible when there were lineup changes. They communicated well and kept up the energy throughout some of the longest rallies of the season.
