Field Hockey Wins Class C WNEPSFHA

Walker's field hockey team

Walker’s varsity field hockey took home the title in the Western New England Preparatory School Field Hockey Association. In the regular season, Walker’s finished 11-3-1 and as the top school in Class C. Walker’s Head Coach, Mimi Duran, was presented with the engraved plaque at the NEPSAC Field Hockey coaches meeting held on Sunday, November 11.

Of the senior captains, three have been four-year members of the program and have been on the Western New England championship team throughout the duration of their high school careers.

Caroline Stent, a senior from Granby, CT, joined Walker’s as a sophomore and is now one of the team’s captains. “When I joined the field hockey program, I was so excited to know that I was joining a team that was driven and focused on getting to the New England Championships. I wanted to be part of Walker’s team to achieve this goal. Success became our expectation.”

Walker’s will host Canterbury School on Wednesday, November 14 at 2:15 p.m. for the quarterfinal game in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council championship tournament. Walker’s is seeded #3 in New England and the only team in Class C to play in the tournament.
