Junior Goalkeeper Selected for Field Hockey Under Armour Select Game

Emily French ’22 recently attended College Connection, a field hockey showcase event, and was one of only four goalkeepers out of 14 selected to play for the Under Armour Select Game. The Under Armour Select Game was held Sunday, August 2 at Austin Preparatory School in Reading, MA. Emily’s team tied 1-1 in an exciting 72-minute match, which consisted of six 12-minute periods. Despite the rain, her team fought hard and played exceptionally well. Emily was coached by Laura-Ann Lane, who is the head coach at Nichols College.

Coach Duran, head varsity field hockey coach, said, “Emily, as a junior, is one of four captains this fall. Having joined our team only last season, she will be instrumental in leading our team this year.”
