Students Attend Math Majors of America Tournament at Yale University

On April 13, Walker’s students Chufan Cui ’20, Joyce Qiu ’20, Kitty Huang ’20, Amy Xia ’21, Grace Mugo ’21 and Elizabeth Cao ’22 represented Walker’s Mathletes at the Math Majors of America Tournament for High Schools, held at Yale University.

The day included two rounds of challenging math problems – a 12-question, 75-minute individual round and a 75-minute team round during which teams solved as many problems as possible. The event also featured a lecture from one of the math professors at Yale.

The competition, organized and run by math majors at Yale University, was attended by approximately 250 high school students across the country.
