Ethel Walker School
The Ethel Walker School held its First Annual Walker’s Fall Classic on Thursday, October 21, 2021, and raised a total of $57,000 to augment the budget of Walker’s Athletic Department.
“The Ethel Walker School Fall Golf Classic reflected for all of us what ultimately matters: the showcasing of our impressive student-athletes, the creative partnership between parents and the administration, and the rich enjoyment of sport and good fellowship shared by all who participated,” said Head of School Dr. Meera Viswanathan. “All this in a gorgeous setting on a perfect autumn day. How could we ask for more?”
Walker’s Fall Classic, held at the picturesque Golf Club of Avon, had a shotgun start and used a scramble format. The day kicked off with a putting contest, lunch, and ample time to look over the raffle, silent auction and live auction items. Out on the course several contests were offered including an opportunity to win $1 Million Dollar prize, $20,000 prize, two opportunities to win a new car, and the traditional longest and closest to the hole contests.
