Walker’s Drama Club Presents Student-Directed Performance of Twelfth Night

Twelfth Night performance

Broadway may be shut down, but theater is still alive and well at Walker’s! On November 12, Walker’s Drama Club performed an outdoor production of 60 Minute Shakespeare: Twelfth Night, directed by Drama Club heads, Olivia Dargis ’22 and Olivia Johnson ’22. Both of these students have worked tirelessly since they conceptualized this evening back in August, directing their thespian peers and working with them on Shakespearean text analysis, bringing their vision to life with costumes, hand-made props, concepts for decorating the performing arts tent, and so much more.

Physically distanced students and faculty participated in the revelry by cozying up on the lawn with blankets, hot chocolate and cookies, and carnevale-inspired masks, made by alum Emma Paterson ’19. The evening commenced with the fall dancers performing a piece choreographed by Marie Längst ’21.

The cast of Twelfth Night featured: Olivia Dargis ’22, Hindy Goldstein ’24, Alessandra LeGeyt ’26, Maya Dolphin ’24, Sophie Lawry ’25, Victoria Llanos ’21, Katherine Tang ’22, Kate Weiss ’21, Kate Samson ’23, Liesel Thacker ’27, Ruby Dawson ’25, Fiona Mucaj ’21, and Tejaswini Melekote ’21 (Stage Manager).

Congratulations to the whole cast on a phenomenal, joyous performance!
