Ethel Walker School
Wednesday May 17, a brisk and quiet morning did not reflect the warmth of The Ethel Walker school campus as students welcomed their families and guests to Grandparents and Special Friends Day. Some families took off on tours guided by cicerones while others gathered in the ceramic studios to work on personal mugs. One guest of Averi R. ’24 stated that this is her third year in attendance and that the day is something she looks foreword to every year.
Among the festivities of the day, Walker’s inducted the rising members of Big 7 during a special ceremony lead by Assistant Head of Student Life and Director of Social Justice and Inclusion Elisa Del Valle. Among those inductees are Averi R. ’24, President of the Student Body, Jaime M. ’24, Vice President of the Student Body, Ella M. ’24, Head of the Honor Board, Cathy F. ’24, Head of Community Partnerships, Chloe L. ’24, Head of Activities, Bela V. ’24, Head of Day Students, and Amelia P. ’24, Senior Class President
As we say farewell and good luck to our outgoing 2022-2023 Big 7, we are grateful for their leadership and service towards the school. As we usher in our rising 2023-2024 Big 7, we look foreword to the impact they will make in the coming school year. Congratulations to our incoming leaders!
