vs. Suffield Academy

Game Summary

Ethel Walker fell to Suffield Academy in four sets on Saturday, October 4th (25-18, 23-25, 23-25, 18-25). Walker’s had a fantastic start in the first set with a strong serving run by libero Rachel Lui ‘27. There were several long rallies where Walker’s showed how much they learned in their last few match ups. In the second set, Walker’s struggled in serve receive early on, but was able to tie up the game thanks to strong offensive plays by outside hitters Maddie Stirt ‘27, and Yihan Chen ‘27. In the third set, Walker’s led much of the set, but struggle in their final few serving rotations. However, middle hitters Liana Salamone ‘26, and Asia Alston ‘28, each had three blocks. In the final set, Walker’s made some serving errors that made it difficult to keep up momentum. While the match did not end with a win, Walker’s played a fantastic game and are ready to take on the rest of the season.
