Game Summary
On Wednesday afternoon, The Ethel Walker School’s varsity soccer team traveled down the road to take on Westminster in an in-town matchup. The hosts earned a 6-0 victory with two goals in the first half and four just after halftime.
Walker’s came out of the gates strong and created the first two chances of the contest, but they did not score and the game remained 0-0 until the 28th minute. Westminster were knocking on the door throughout the first half and finally broke the deadlock in the 28th minute. Emma Mazur ’27 made a couple of great saves, but the hosts were first to the rebound and took the lead. A similar goal five minutes later doubled their lead as they took a 2-0 advantage into the break.
In the opening 20 minutes of the second half, Walker’s conceded four goals and Westminster earned the Founder’s League victory. Next up on the schedule for the Wildcats is a road trip to Farmington to take on another Founder’s League foe in Miss Porter’s. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00.
