Game Summary

Walker’s field hockey team traveled to Miss Porter’s today for the annual rivalry game, and it did not disappoint. We arrived during a bustling family weekend and were greeted by a campus full of family and friends. As we made our way to the field on the hill, we enjoyed some lighthearted banter written in chalk along the sidewalk.

Regardless of the outcome, this game is one that everyone looks forward to—players, coaches, and fans alike. The match was a thrilling back-and-forth battle that lasted a full 60 minutes, with both teams creating scoring opportunities. Walker’s freshman defensive duo, Quinn Floyd ‘29 and Inaya Abdur-Rahman ‘29, made impressive saves behind goalie Abby Spencer ‘27.

Unfortunately, Miss Porter’s managed to score on a controversial call in the final seconds of the third quarter, securing a 1-0 victory for the Green Wave.
