Four seniors at The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury have signed commitment letters to play at the collegiate level.

Daphne Peterson ’21 signed her National Letter of Intent to swim at Northeastern University, a Division I NCAA program.

Senior Jordana Doshna signed her agreement to play lacrosse at Lewis College and Abby Grimaldi ’21 signed for Mercer University; Lewis University is an NCAA Division II program and Mercer is Division I.

Olivia Webster ’21 signed her commitment letter to Stonehill College to play soccer, a Division II program.

Witnessed in person and online by their teammates, coaches, classmates, teachers and administrators, the students signed their letters at a ceremony in the school’s chapel during the last two weeks of their in-person learning. “These girls have not let anything hold them back, even now. These four student-athletes are a great representation of the student leadership in our athletic programs. They are ready to continue their passions at the next level and make us proud,” said Kati Eggert, Walker’s athletic director. “As an entire community, we want to congratulate each of these girls for this accomplishment and exciting next step. We also want to thank them and their families for sharing such an important part of their lives here with us.”
