Abi Welch ’20, Kyleigh Holt ’20 and Photography Teacher Ben Barker attended the opening reception and award ceremony for Canton Public Library’s Teen Photo Contest on Wednesday, November 14. Abi and Jenessa Lu ’21 submitted photographs for the competition along with approximately 60 other local photographers. Abi was the second place winner in the portrait category (top) and Jenessa placed third in the same group (bottom).
The contest was open to Farmington Valley residents and students in grades seven to 12 and winners were judged by a panel of local photographers and artists. The exhibit will remain on display at Canton Public Library, 40 Dyer Avenue, Canton until November 30.
