Involvement: Riding, Spring Musical, Yoga

“My name is Ada and I am class of 2028. I came to Walker’s my freshman year and am part of the riding team as well as the spring musical! I am currently a boarder in mountain view. Why I wanted to become a Cicerone was because I want to show prospective students how much Walker’s has positively impacted my life, and how much it could impact theirs as well!”

What is your favorite class and why?

My favorite class at Walker’s is history class because I get to gain valuable knowledge about our past, and it pushes me to use and improve various skills, such as my writing.

What is a unique experience you’ve had at Walker’s that you didn’t think you’d be involved in when arriving at Walker’s?

I got really close with a few teachers (especially my advisor) and I didn’t think that would ever happen.

What is your favorite part of your typical day at Walker’s? What do you look forward to every day?

My favorite part of the day at Walker’s is the evenings in the dorm because I get to hang out with my roommate (who is also my best friend) and also other boarders. I always make so many new memories in the dorm.

Boarding students: what is your favorite part about being a boarder?

Playing board games in the common room!

What advice would you give to an incoming Walker’s student?

Go out of your comfort zone! There are too many opportunities at Walker’s to not try anything new!

What do you think is the biggest benefit of attending school at Walker’s?

Of course the education, but also all of the amazing friendships I have made.

How do you feel you have grown (academically, emotionally, mentally) since your first day at Walker’s?

I am definitely better at asking questions when I need to and I’ve also gotten better at making new friends.

How do you think Walker’s has prepared you for your future?

I think Walker’s has prepared me for my future in many different ways, but most of all being independent.

What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?

Bake!
