Hello, my name is Ainsley, and I joined Walker’s as a freshman. I’m proud to be part of the equestrian team and to serve as a Cicerone, helping prospective families experience the warmth and spirit of our community. Not only is Walker’s a safe haven for its students, but it’s also a place where we can thrive as learners. I hope visitors leave with a clear sense of how Walker’s encourages girls to pursue their passions, challenge themselves, and feel truly at home.”

What is your favorite class and why?

My favorite class has been Civil Rights because we got to have so many discussions, fun projects, collaborate, and read intriguing articles. For the final we did a podcast together surrounding the microphone and got to share all the knowledge we had learned prior. There were only five people in the class which made it so fun to collaborate and do projects as a whole.

What is a unique experience you’ve had at Walker’s that you didn’t think you’d be involved in when arriving at Walker’s?

I didn’t think I would be a peer tutor when joining Walker’s, but I now thoroughly enjoy helping others!

What is your favorite part of your typical day at Walker’s? What do you look forward to every day?

My favorite part of my typical day is getting to go on trail rides in Walker’s woods with my friends after school! The Walker’s woods is a magical place with multiple streams and mini waterfalls. It is especially beautiful in the fall when the leaves are changing colors. It’s the perfect place to end a day of school because of how peaceful it is.

What advice would you give to an incoming Walker’s student?

I would say to try out anything and everything you can because you never know what will spark your interest. Walker’s offers so many opportunities to try new things. The number of clubs, leadership roles, and classes are endless. There are so many niche things to explore and it’s amazing to dive into them.
