“Hi, I’m Ashley Fontanella, I joined Walker’s when I was in eight grade and I am currently a sophomore. Being a Cicerone is important because you get the opportunity to share with families what being a Walker’s student is all about! Walker’s has a very special community that makes everyone feel like they have a place they can lean on that is full of friends, teachers, and other mentors. Seeing the friendly faces welcome you on campus is truly an incredible feeling!”
My favorite part of a typical day at Walker’s is the co-curriculars! I’ve been able to try new sports here at Walker’s and meet so many amazing people through them. I love being able to hang out with my teammates and get better while doing so! Especially during basketball season!
I feel I have grown in so many ways at Walker’s since my first day as an eight grader. I have better understood how to manage my time, stay organized, and plan ahead. I have also become a better leader, teammate, and I am able to take on more responsibilities.
My favorite thing to do in my free time at Walker’s is play card games with my friends! I’ve learned to love playing cards even more while I’ve been here because it allows you to connect with new students by teaching them your favorite game! Playing card games with my advisory and basketball team are definitely some of my favorite moments here!
