Involvement: Black Student Union, Sustainability, Choir, Grapes (Acapella), Dance, and African Drumming
“Hello, I’ve been at walkers since seventh grade! I’m a proud Sun! I wanted to be a Cicerone because I am really grateful for the community I found at Walker’s and I would like to help other people find the same!”
I really liked my science class because my teacher made it really fun and interesting, plus she was always available when I needed extra help.
I never thought that I would be performing in the acapella group.
I look forward to going to the art room to work on my project and homework.
I like that all of my teachers are on campus and that I can get extra help very easily.
I would tell them not to worry too much about making friends and getting to know people.
I think the biggest benefit in attending Walker’s is being surrounded with both academic and emotional support. Most of the adults at Walker’s have supported me endlessly and I continue to grow with their guidance.
I have become more in tune with my relationships with people. I’ve learned how to manage my time effectively. As well as become more confident in approaching new people.
Walker’s has made me more confident and sure of myself. Its also taught me to focus on myself more.
I like to go to any on campus weekend activities on the weekend. I also like hanging out with my roommate on weekdays.
