“My name is Charlotte and I am starting my third year at Walker’s. I love being a Cicerone because I can share my thoughts on why Walker’s is a great fit for me and many others. It helped guide me into the confident and enthusiastic student I am today.”

What is a unique experience you’ve had at Walker’s that you didn’t think you’d be involved in when arriving at Walker’s?

I never knew I would ever witness a lettuce eating competition. Last year a Lettuce Head Society was formed with the main event being an eating competition. Contestants each got a head of lettuce and supplied their own dipping sauce. This is one of the many amazing and wonderful clubs on campus, while we do have academic ones that are very interesting, I found this one to be hilarious.

What is your favorite part of your typical day at Walker’s? What do you look forward to every day?

My favorite part of my school day is breakfast. It has become a regular tradition with my friend group to all sit together in the morning before class and chat. We are able to joke around and discuss things such as what classes we have or what we want to do that weekend. It gives us all time to relax and have a moment before we get into the academic day.

How do you feel you have grown (academically, emotionally, mentally) since your first day at Walker’s?

I believe I have become more confident in my academics because of all the support I’ve received. An example is that I feel comfortable to raise my hand and give answers that I am not 100% sure are correct. I know my peers and teachers will respect and help guide me in the right direction because everyone here wants to see you succeed.
