What do you find to be the most rewarding part of being on the Alumnae Board?

I love feeling connected to Walker’s in any way I can. Monthly calls with the Alumnae Board remind me of my time at Walker’s and how grateful I am for my wonderful three years on 230 Bushy Hill Road. As a member of the student engagement committee, I have loved finding new ways for students and alumnae to stay connected!

What is your fondest memory or tradition from your time at Walker’s?

My favorite Walker’s tradition is the Old Girl/ New Girl show. The whole Walker’s community coming together to support and cheer for one another is a really special experience. All three of my years at Walker’s, my friend India and I sang a song with the ukulele. Memories I will never forget!

What was your favorite class you took at Walker’s? Why?

My favorite class was Inequalities with Ms. Cardona. My whole world was opened up and I find myself referring back to concepts I learned in that class to this day.

How did attending Walker’s impact your path and where you are now?

Attending Walker’s has influenced my life in numerous ways. I became the best version of myself with the help of the amazing faculty and student body. One notable way Walker’s has influenced my life is that I met Mrs.Reed. She introduced me to a French family who I lived with for one year after graduating from Walker’s as their au pair! This opportunity ultimately led me to find my passion for the French language which I am now studying at Kenyon college. Thanks to Walker’s and Mrs. Reed, I found my passion for French!
