Involvement: EWAC, Soccer, Basketball, Softball, Orchestra, African Drumming

I entered Walker’s last year as a Junior. I love being a Cicerone because I get to share my Walker’s experience to the outside community. I love showing prospective families the family culture that is built here, and the great benefits of an all-girls school.”

What is your favorite class and why?

My favorite class was a history class I took last year called ECE Contemporary Social Issues in Sports. I loved this class because I got to talk about sports, something that I love, the entire time. We learned about the history of sports in our world the inequalities within it as well. I got to bring my own perspective and sports experiences to the table and be heard by my peers.

What is a unique experience you’ve had at Walker’s that you didn’t think you’d be involved in when arriving at Walker’s?

I am apart of Orchestra and African Drumming Club, which I never thought I would be apart of anything involving music. I have had a really fun time learning new things and displaying all of the things I have learned in concerts.

What is your favorite part of your typical day at What advice would you give to an incoming Walker’s student?

Be yourself. We all love you no matter what. Don’t be afraid to try new things. This school is a perfect opportunity for you to discover what you love.

What do you think is the biggest benefit of attending school at Walker’s?

I think one of the biggest benefits of attending school at Walker’s is the all-girl aspect. It is one of my favorite things about this school because it creates such a close and unique family culture, that you can’t find anywhere else. No one is scared to participate in class, perform in a talent show, try new things you are terrible at. It creates such a fun and loving environment, and I am excited to go to school every single day because of it.
