“Hi! My name is Emma I started at Walker’s in sixth grade. I’m so excited to be giving tours to prospective students! While I was applying, having students give me the tours made me feel welcome and at home immediately, and I hope I can give that same feeling back.”

What is your favorite class and why?

My favorite class is Earth Science! I love learning about how the Earth was created and my environment around me!

What is a unique experience you’ve had at Walker’s that you didn’t think you’d be involved in when arriving at Walker’s?

A unique experience I had was being on the Middle School Student Government, Fab 5!

What is your favorite part of your typical day at Walker’s? What do you look forward to every day?

I always look forward to getting to ride every day! I love the environment at the barn and it’s such a fun place to be able to go.

What advice would you give to an incoming Walker’s student?

Go with the flow and have fun! Enjoy your time with everyone and cherish every moment you have!

What do you think is the biggest benefit of attending school at Walker’s?

Going to Walker’s has made me more confident in myself. All of the teachers and staff really push you out of your comfort zone and make you more self-assured.

How do you feel you have grown (academically, emotionally, mentally) since your first day at Walker’s?

I’ve come way out of my shell since starting in sixth grade. I’m not afraid to be myself, and academically i’ve grown so much!

How do you think Walker’s has prepared you for your future?

Walker’s has given me new opportunities and experiences to try and learn new things that I would’ve never had in a different setting.

What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?

While I’m on campus and I have a little free time, I enjoy walking around our campus with my friends and going on the trails!
