Involvement: Equestrian, Community Partnership Head, Cicerone
“I entered Walker’s my sophomore year and had previously attended a public school in NYC. Walker’s was a big change for me, and although sometimes I felt uncomfortable, I ended up creating a community that helped me feel supported and welcomed. I think Cicerone’s are a really valuable aspect of the school because it is nice to connect with people that you relate to and learn about their experiences at Walker’s. I hope to show prospective students and their families a little bit of what the transition into a new school can look and feel like, and how to help navigate the changes.”
My favorite class would either be French or Photography. I have a lot of fun in French class, and I think being able to speak different languages is an incredible skill. Photography is also something I enjoy, being able to express creativity through images is a beautiful thing.
The different opportunities it brings, and the experiences that you would not get anywhere else. It is really a unique school and provides a lot for its students.
Walker’s is succeeding in teaching life skills to its students, whether it is financial, social, environmental, etc. I have been able to expand my knowledge in many ways.
