“Hi, I’m Jazmine. I am a senior in the Class of 2027. I came to Walker’s in my junior year. Cicerones are important because when I was a new student last year, they helped me navigate the school and feel welcomed, whether it was on tours or shadow days. I aim to show prospective students that Walker’s is a fun and loving community where you are free to be whoever you want; you can make lots of friends and overall have a great time while you’re here!”
My favorite class is Chemistry because you get to discover all these cool things and go in depth when you get into the lab. My sister is also a chemical engineer major so I want to follow in her footsteps in some way.
I am a part of African Drumming and BSU (the Black Student Union). I never thought I’d join either of these clubs/affinity groups when I first came to Walker’s.
Lunch because I get to spend time with the people in the community, and I get to laugh while hanging out with my friends in the middle of the day.
Join clubs. You may not think you’d like them, but trust me, join as many as you can. It helps build friendships that’ll last a long time.
You can never be heavily judged in what you like and want to do.
I have made such great friendships that I’d never thought I’d make when I first came to Walker’s.
To learn independence and to manage my time well.
Hanging out with family and friends.
