“I arrived at Walker’s going into my freshman year. Being a Cicerone is important to be because I get to interact with possible incoming families and to show off all that Walkers has to offer. Also, being a leader on campus has enhanced my confidence and has allowed me the opportunity to be the best version of myself I can be.”
My favorite class is English!
I never thought I would be on the swim team and try something new!
My favorite part about a typical day at Walker’s is sitting at breakfast preparing for the day laughing and enjoying my time with my friends.
Become a part of as much as you can handle. Meeting new people and trying new clubs and sports allows you to make new friends, but also maybe pick up things you enjoy doing!
The interactions with teachers and staff who actually want you to excel in every and any way. Also, the college preparation in teaching you worldly skills and requirements that the school expects us to do before graduating.
I have grown academically by being pushed into good habits and self discipline. Emotionally I have been put in tough positions but always had a blanket of people to be there for me always.
I think that Walker’s has prepared me for my future by installing organization skills in me as well as making me feel comfortable in who my authentic self is. This has grown my confidence and make me feel that I can tackle anything the world gives me because, I have been shown how people supporting me can push me to becoming
strong, and independent.
Sit in the SOC with my friends and laugh and talk, or just sitting with each other studying. As long as we are in each others presence we feel at home.
