“Hi I’m Livi and I came to Walker’s in 2022 my freshman year. I’m now a senior which is so crazy! Being a Cicerone is so important to me because touring a school can change a lot of someone’s opinion. I want everyone who tours to feel the same enthusiasm and love for the school I do. I want everyone to see why being a Walker’s girl is the best. (Also go suns!) “
My favorite class is Equine science. I took it my junior year and as an equestrian myself the class was very interesting. We learned everything from how the muscles work to different disease a horse can have. I loved bonding with my other classmates and sharing the love of horses with everyone!
My favorite part of being a boarder is having your own little community to go back to everyday. The games of gaga ball after dinner, dorm birthday parties with cookies and cupcakes, or even going to your friends room to talk after a long day. Having so many people around as well as having your own space to go back to is amazing. I have learned to be so independent through being a boarder as well as learning to rely on a bunch of amazing people who you live with.
My favorite thing to do in my free time is to go to the barn and just hang out. Whether that’s helping out the barn staff with things around the barn or taking my horse out for some grass — it’s a very relaxing space. Sometimes i’ll take my computer and do homework and other times i’ll find myself in the middle of Walkers woods on a trail ride. If I’m not at the barn, I am probably in my dorm room taking a long nap!
