A Dial and graduate of the Class of 1981, Meg Filoon is recognized for excellence as a multi-sport athlete and leader in the Walker’s athletic community. At Walker’s, she played varsity field hockey, lacrosse, and paddle tennis, captaining each team and earning the Athletic Cup, the Voorhees Cup, and the Junior Jock Award. Meg also served as head of the ski club, the Dials mascot, and helped resurrect the student athletic association (EWAC) with fellow classmates.

Meg continued her athletic career at Denison University, earning All-American and All-Conference honors in both field hockey and lacrosse, and was later inducted into the Denison University Athletic Hall of Fame. She went on to compete at the club level nationally, including representing the U.S. Women’s Lacrosse Team. Beyond organized sports, Meg has taken on extraordinary athletic challenges, including biking across the United States to attend the 1984 Olympics, climbing Mount Rainier, and canoeing the Allagash Riverway to Canada over four weeks.

Meg has served as an EMT and firefighter, earned a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Simmons College, and worked as a coach, teacher, and athletic administrator. She continues to mentor student athletes today through coaching field hockey and lacrosse.
