Boarding Student

Involvement: Riding, Cross Country, and Swimming.

Im Scarlett and this is my 3rd year at Walker’s and now Im in 11th grade. I am so happy to be a Cicerone because Walker’s has given me so many opportunities not just to grow as a student, but also as a leader, a friend, and a member of a truly special community. Being a Cicerone allows me to give back by sharing that experience with others. If I can help even one person see how welcoming, empowering, and inspiring our community is, then I know I’ve made a difference.”

I don’t think I would have explored those interests or pushed myself outside my comfort zone without the support and motivation from my peers.

We support each other through everything—whether it’s late-night study sessions, early morning practices, or just hanging out in the dorms. There’s always someone to talk to, laugh with, or lean on.

What advice would you give to an incoming Walker’s student?

Walker’s is a place full of opportunities, whether it’s in academics, sports, the arts, or leadership. Don’t be afraid to take risks, join a new club, or try out for a team you’ve never been on. You might discover a new passion or talent you didn’t know you had.
