A Sun and graduate of the Class of 1971, Susan Storer is recognized for excellence as a multi-sport athlete and lifelong competitor. At Walker’s, she played varsity field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse, and competed in tennis and paddle tennis, winning multiple school championships. She was awarded the Voorhees Cup at Commencement in recognition of her outstanding athletic accomplishments.
Susan continued her athletic career at Middlebury College, competing in field hockey and lacrosse at the varsity level while also skiing for enjoyment each winter. She spent summers as a tennis counselor, teaching young athletes at Windridge Tennis Camp. After college, Susan competed on Boston and New England regional and national lacrosse teams and served as assistant coach for Dartmouth College’s women’s lacrosse team while completing her MBA at the Tuck School of Business.
Over the years, Susan has also picked up soccer, squash and tennis, competing at the national level in lacrosse, squash and soccer. Susan’s volunteer roles include being a tutor for the Cincinnati Squash Academy as well as working with the United Way’s WINGs (Women Investing in the Next Generation) group, for which she received United Way’s “Living Her Legacy” Legend Award in 2017.
