After nearly two decades in the boarding school world, Colin R. Griggs joined the Admission team at Walker’s in July of 2022. His experience includes leadership roles in admission, athletics, student life, and residential life, and has since landed firmly in admission. Griggs has worked closely with Walker’s Financial Aid Committee since 2022 and moved into his role as Assistant Director for Enrollment and Financial Aid starting in the summer of 2025. He enjoys helping families learn about the opportunities that Walker’s can offer them through the financial aid process.

What was it about Walker’s that made you want to work here?

I have always enjoyed working at smaller schools where there is a true sense of community, and I am excited to know a little bit about everyone as a result. Walker’s seemed to me like the right blend of the different schools I have worked at since 2006.

What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?

There is a very special place in my heart that is located just over an hour from Walker’s, and I am very excited to talk to you about it should you want more information. My absolute favorite thing in the world is to visit there with my family or be there on my own for complete peace and solitude.
