Why did you want to go into teaching?

I love math. I love that it is simple yet complex, I love that it is thought-provoking yet dependable. I love its mysteries and I love its beauty. I want others to feel the same sense of pride that can come from conquering this intimidating subject.

What is your favorite Walker’s tradition?

My favorite Walker’s tradition is when the girls sing the school song together. To watch them all put their arms around each other and sway back and forth while singing about the school they love is totally endearing.

What other roles do you hold on campus?

Junior Class Dean

What is the most rewarding part about working at Walker’s?

The students! I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to teach intellectually curious students who are willing to take risks and so incredibly supportive of each other. The shared attitude in the classroom seems to be “let’s be better together” and I thoroughly enjoy being part of that team.
