Monica holds an M.A. in Humanities from The University of Chicago and a BA in English, summa cum laude, from Fordham University.

Monica has been teaching English at various independent schools for two decades. She is particularly passionate about teaching science fiction and the literature of the global south. She loves a good mystery novel but almost never figures out who did it before the end.

Outside of the classroom, she is a dorm parent, advisor, and coach in the soccer and lacrosse programs.
