It is also a chance to come together and once again be recognized as a Class. In honor of your Reunion, we encourage you to participate in your Class Gift by renewing or enhancing your support of The Walker’s Fund for Annual Giving. With the goals of increased alumnae giving and participation, the School’s Reunion Giving program focuses on multi-year Reunion gifts to the Annual Fund.
How do I go about making a meaningful, multi-year gift to Walker's in honor of my Reunion?
We hope that you will choose to make your best possible multi-year gift/pledge to the Annual Fund by June 30, 2013. Walker’s is asking you to consider committing 50% of your gift this year and then pledge 25% for each of the next two years.
- If you are a regular donor to The Walker’s Fund, we encourage you to consider increasing your annual giving for the next three years, therefore making your best possible gift/pledge to the School. Let’s say that you typically give at the $1,000 level. You may consider pledging $5,000 over a three year period, in honor of your Reunion, with the commitment to make payments on this pledge of $2,500, $1,250, and $1,250.
- If you are an occasional donor to the Walker's Fund, this program enables you to give to the fund on a more regular basis, illustrating your continued commitment to the School. For example, if you give $100 to Walker’s ever other year, you may consider pledging $500 with annual payments on this pledge of $250, $125, and $125.
- If you have never given to the Walker’s Fund, we ask you to participate this year in honor of your Reunion and encourage you to make a multi-year gift/pledge this year.
Please keep in mind that the 50/25/25 breakout is only a suggestion. Please feel free to divide the installments in whatever way works best for you. If you prefer to give a one year gift in honor of your Reunion, it would also be very much appreciated.
What is the benefit of making a multi-year gift to Walker's in honor of my Reunion?
Your class will be credited for the full gift/pledge during your Reunion year, 2012-2013.
You will not be solicited for additional Annual Fund gifts for the next two years; you will simply be reminded of your pledge balance each year.
