“Hello, prospective families! My name is Ella and I joined the Walker’s community in ninth grade, which was the best decision I have ever made! Being a Cicerone is important to me because I have the opportunity to show prospective families everything that made me want to join the Walker’s family.”

What is your favorite class and why?

My favorite class is science. I love applying the skills I learn to my everyday life! In Chemistry, there were many restrictions on what we were allowed to do because of COVID. Despite the restrictions, my science teacher still had many fun activities that I was able to apply my learning to!

What is a unique experience you’ve had at Walker’s that you didn’t think you’d be involved in when arriving at Walker’s?

After the fall pep rally, while everyone was enjoying the bonfire, my friends and I played field hockey on the fields. I never thought that I would find friends so fast who enjoy doing the same things that I do! This experience made me realize that this is my second home.

What is your favorite part about being a boarder?

My favorite part about being a boarding student is the feeling of having a second home. I love the friendships I have built with my dorm community and knowing that I can go to them or an adult in any time of need.
