“My name is Cecilia. I joined Walker’s for my sophomore year and immediately felt welcome! As a Cicerone I want to create an environment in which students and their families can feel secure and comfortable during the application process. Oftentimes it can be stressful to go through a change alone and my goal is to assure families and students that they are not. I hope to express the amazing community Walker’s provides through all the exciting clubs, sports, and classes.”

What is your favorite class and why?

My favorite class at Walker’s is English. I love being able to interpret different pieces of literature while listening to other perspectives. I enjoy reading and gaining new knowledge.

What is your favorite part of your typical day at Walker’s? What do you look forward to every day?

My favorite part of a typical day at Walker’s is most definitely seeing my friends. Though there are so many opportunities to learn, Walker’s also provides so many safe spaces to get to know one another and to build relationships with other people. It is so interesting to make new friends every day and to spend time with those you already have.

What advice would you give to an incoming Walker’s student?

My advice to incoming students is to try as many new things as you can. Spreading your interests is what’s going to make you find something you are truly passionate about. Taking advantage of what Walker’s has to offer will do that!
